Many historical monuments, such as the Baroque palace converted into the seat of the town hall, are located in the centre.

The Port of Alicante, in the heart of the city, has become a pleasant leisure centre for its inhabitants and tourists. From there you can travel with regular lines to Ibiza or Mallorca.
